Have a brainstorming session and make a list of business ideas that come to mind in relation to the activities you enjoy. For example, if you enjoy talking walks with your dog, you might write down a dog sitting or dog walking business. Write down everything at this point. Once you get it on paper you can weed through the list and pick the ideas that you would like to take to the next step.
Finally, research the activities you enjoy and see if there are marketable products or services you could offer. Take the best ideas from your brainstorming session and take them to the Internet. What you are trying to accomplish here is to see if your business idea is marketable and if it is, how much competition you are up against. Moreover, there may be some legitimate companies out there that already offer the type of service you are considering. If this is the case, you can consider whether or not you want to start your own entity or buy into someone elses opportunity.
Say that you love to write and would love to be able to make money from your skills. Here is the question, do you want to start your own freelance business and website or do you simply work as an independent contractor for established companies? In this situation, if your desire were to make extra money then you might just stick with working as an independent contractor. There are a lot of reputable companies that will hire you to write website articles and things of that nature. The pay is not the greatest, however if you are not looking at this as an exclusive income source it should be okay. If however, you intend to build a network and start a new enterprise on the net, by all means get a domain name and have at it.
When it comes down to finding the best work at home opportunity, you cannot stress enough how important it is to like what you do. Money isnt everything when it comes to working.
